If I don't cash in this SNG....

I vow to never play at work again.

You know you're gonna have to bankroll me if I don't make enough, Kenny. So be prepared to make 3k and buy me into some satellite SNGs.

Starting: $235.68

I'm taking Kenny's advice and playing a regular speed 9 person SNG $10+1.
Let's see if I remember how to run these like the old Party Poker days.

Hand 1. Folded AJ to a mid position raise. Easy fold for you noobies out there (Alan, I'm talking to you!).

For some reason, I just remembered a conversation involving me, Kenny, and some other kid at Sycuan many years back about raising UTG with small suited connectors. Probably wouldn't recommend use of that strategy early in a SNG, but in a ring game you can take bigger risks with your chips. Of course if you hit, its one of those ninja hands that nobody will put you on.

10 hands in and nothing to report. zzzz.
24 hands in and nobody has busted out and there's only been one all-in bet by a short stack.
34 hands in one person out nothing new on my part (blinds are 50/100 now)

Just lost half my stack on this hand:

I knew I had the first guy beat and I figured the other guys for hands with a couple over cards. Still, its a good thing i didnt go crazy and shove in all my chips to isolate the guy. There is no doubt i would have been insta-called by the 44.

Time to start stealing blinds to get myself back into the game.
AKs and nobody calls. That kinda stuff kills me. I guess a sure win is better than a risky double up sometimes.

I overbet this pot hoping someone had a big flush draw, but again, no callers...

I think this was a good check on the flop by me (even if its terrible to go all in on a draw). I was going to call anything no matter what with a draw like that (and my short stack) and I figured he was going to bet regardless of if he hit or not.

Played solid poker got some decent cards and took down first in this one for $45, netting $34.

Not exactly a huge payday, but im back in the win column!

$269.68

also, juggling customers/paper work and poker is not smart.

*EDIT*
Back at home to see if this $10+1 win was just a fluke...but mostly cuz I'm addicted to poker.

Somehow, I ended up committing 90 chips on the first hand with 66 on the button. I called 30, someone doubled, so I called, and then someone else made it 3 bets. It was like I was playing limit and got suckered into it.

5 pocket pairs in 20 hands and not one hit to capitalize on.

Bleh, nothing ever came my way. Finished third for a net of $7. What a waste.

Roll:
$276.68
